Everything we get asked in Tacoma.

Do you serve all of Tacoma?

Yes, every neighborhood in the city, plus Fircrest, University Place, Fife, Lakewood and the rest of Pierce County.

How soon can you start?

It depends on the season and the schedule. Ask when you call; we give an honest start window rather than a hopeful one.

Do you give written estimates?

Yes. After the walkthrough you get a written scope and price, so you can compare it line by line with anyone else.

What happens if you find rot or old wiring behind the wall?

We stop, show you, and explain the options and cost before doing anything outside the agreed scope.

Can I supply my own tile or fixtures?

Usually, yes. We help check quantities, trim pieces and valve compatibility so nothing stalls the job.

Do you remove the old cast iron tub?

Yes, including hauling it away.

Is there a lead paint concern in older Tacoma homes?

Homes built before 1978 may have lead paint. Federal rules require lead-safe work practices when painted surfaces are disturbed in those homes, so ask any contractor how they handle it.

What about asbestos in old flooring or plaster?

Some older flooring, mastic and wall materials can contain asbestos. In Pierce County, the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency sets the rules for surveys before renovation. We talk through testing before demo when the house is old enough to warrant it.

Do you install heated floors?

Yes. Electric radiant mats go under tile during a remodel, and they are worth considering in a cold-floored older house.

Will my bathroom fan really vent outside?

On our jobs it does. A fan that blows into the attic just moves the moisture problem upstairs.

Are you licensed?
